ABOUT PERSONAL TRAINING
Our services for personal training integrate movement coaching and breathwork to help you achieve your fitness and performance goals.
Movement is the action or process of change; the effect and cause (i.e. work) of change; an act of changing physical location or position.
Breathing is the process of taking air into and expelling it from the lungs, caused by a three-dimensional shape change in the thoracic and abdominal cavities.
In training sessions, we invite you to explore the powerful relationship between movement and breathing and how this relationship produces your habituated patterns of health and well-being.
Whether your goal is to lose weight, improve range of motion, optimize athletic performance, or age more gracefully, we’re here to help guide you towards your goals, holistically, so you live an all-around healthier and happier lifestyle.
Specifically, sessions center upon biomechanics.
Biomechanics is the study of the mechanical laws relating to the movement and structure of living organisms.
Don’t worry, human biomechanics aren’t complicated! In fact, they’re simple – and once you understand the basic biomechanical principles of breathing and movement, you can apply these principles to any mundane activity and make it an exercise.
Our mission is to empower you – to help you transform your habits, providing you with the education and experiences that invite you to practice mindful embodiment within your daily life.
"Healing is what the body does best, when it has the right resources."
